Dawn

My religion is: Smile more, give when I can, try not to be inconsiderate. Don't be grumpy in the morning.
Everyone is fighting their own battle. Be glad and thankful for what YOU have been blessed with EVERYDAY. Only you can decide to be happy.

In other news, I'm really glad to see you back, Jimmy. I hope you are feeling better. Wattabout them Rangers??!!!! I saw someone who looked A LOT like you on one of the TV broadcasts and I wondered... This person was holding a broom with antlers. :-) Now I really can't wait for opening day.

Jimmy, is that your last post? If so, I hope you have had a chance to see the rest of the God in America documentary; the Catholic Church was not 'blasted' -- at least I didn't think so -- and, in fact, in one episode that I remember, it seemed that the Catholic Church was, to my chagrin, "persecuted" --
None of us so-called Christians have been very Christlike in our behavior during long periods of our history -- or, for that matter, in the history of the entire world since the very beginnings of Christianity. Power corrupts and, as the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Institutional religions that have power are just as vulnerable to corruption as any other
institution. Yet, despite that, God does seem to triumph periodically; our country has been "led", if you will, along the high road (even though we've slipped in the ditch a LOT), and I think, for all of us, Hope still sings in our hearts.
