It just so happens that the day Mariah Carey debuts a new album she shows up on American Idol. Tell me, what are the chances? I'm not a huge Mariah fan, so I'm not familiar with all the songs, but that could be a good thing.
David A - "When You Believe" Two
words. Leather. Pants. No-no. Once I got past that, it was another
good performance. He hits all the right notes, but does he do enough
to win? That will be the question as the weeks go on. You could be my
only hope of foiling Mr. U-No-Who. I'll even text for you.
Carly
- "Without You" Hey, I know this song, but from the 70s. She finally,
finally covered up that arm. The song....ok, not bad, not great. She
is losing steam fast here.
Syesha - "Vanishing" She looked good, she sang good, but I'm afraid she just doesn't have the fan base (just me) to make it to the finals.
Brooke
- "Hero" I just didn't care for the unplugged version of the a song I
actually recognized. And quit talking back to the judges, por favor.
And put your shoes on. I agree with Simon, it just wasn't all there.
Kristy
Lee - "Forever" I could be starting the KLC fan club. She had the best
performance from the girls this week. She looked fab and sounded even
better. A good week for her. Let's hope she misses the bottom 3 this
time.
David C - "Always Be My Baby" Yeah,
Yeah, Yeah. Jimmy, Susan, Tricia. You and the judges are hopelessly
in love with the dude. Wardrobe, please. He looked like the guy from
the "I'm a Pepper" commercials back in the 70s. What can I say....not
a fan this week. Rinse, repeat, next week.
Jason
- "I Don't Want to Cry" He is falling into the pattern of singing the
same song with different words every week. We'll see if the dreads
will save him from elimination.
I'm still trying to get over the loss of Michael Johns. Moment of silence please.
